  • Brooke and Associates is developing and executing for the British Columbia Seniors Living Association a federal and provincial public affairs strategy to maximise the ability of senior citizens to choose where and how they live.

  • Brooke & Associates is supporting the implementation of a Construction Industry Training Network in British Columbia through strategic planning and advisory services.  This initiative will strengthen training, competitiveness and innovation in British Columbia’s construction industry and currently includes the development of an initiative to assure the quality of construction sector training in BC..

  • Brooke & Associates worked with GLOBE Series to design and host a GLOBE 2016 conference session on driving business value and innovation through the protection and management of natural capital.  

  • Brooke & Associates supported Vancouver and L.A. success story Pyrrha Design in achieving B Corporation certification, a new and fast-growing certification of high social, environmental, accountability and transparency performance.

  • Brooke and Associates, together with Scale Collaborative, is supported a British Columbia community college in identifying options to improve its design and delivery of career services.


  • Brooke & Associates completed on behalf of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs an analysis of how to more effectively integrate environmental considerations into humanitarian action. 

  • Brooke & Associates worked with with the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID) and IMC Worldwide to increase the ability of DFID advisors to integrate environmental and climate change considerations into humanitarian action.  

  • Brooke and Associates supported the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) to integrate disaster risk reduction into the core business practices of all UN agencies, and recently completed another initiative for UNISDR to determine the experience of regional international organisations in accelerating national disaster risk reduction efforts.


  • Roy Brooke of Brooke and Associates is acting as Director of the Municipal Natural Assets Initiative, in close collaboration with the David Suzuki Foundation, Sustainable Prosperity, the Town of Gibsons, Asset Management BC and other organisations to refine, replicate and scale up efforts to protect and manage natural capital and ecosystem services as a core municipal management and financial strategy.  The project is now in its implementation phase with a total of 5 pilots across Canada.

  • Brooke and Associates collaborated with GLOBE Advisors to develop a roadmap for the Vancouver Economic Commission to meet the City of Vancouver reach its goal of doubling the number of green jobs by 2020.  

  • Roy researched and taught urban sustainability as associate faculty member of Royal Roads University (2014) and lectures regularly at a range of universities and colleges.


  • Brooke and Associates provided research and communications services to support Social Enterprise Catalyst engage a wide cross-section of the Vancouver Island community in developing the social enterprise sector.
